Description:
Our Client, an independent provider of services for to the insurance and managed care industries, is currently looking for a VB .Net Developer.
Responsibilities: Be involved in developing business solutions by creating new and modifying existing software applications;
Contribute in gathering technical requirements, designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting and supporting all types of applications consistent with established specifications and business requirements to deliver business value;
Be Technical Subject Matter Expert;
Resource as technical liaison to client counterparts;
Develop pioneering approaches to emerging industry trends;
Requirements: Experience in programming/software development (5+ years);
Experience in writing VB.NET and MS SQL coding (3+ years);
Experience in the following application development technologies: XML or XSL, Distributed Application Development, Database Programming, MQ Series, Net framework 2.0, ADO.NET, EDI Data Translation (2+ years);
Working knowledge of relational databases, database structures and design, data management, and data warehousing;
Experience working in Healthcare Industry (preferred);
Health Application experience with any of the following areas: Claims Processing, Eligibility Maintenance, Utilization Management, Plan Benefits, Provider and Contract Maintenance (preferred);
Technical experience with HIPAA transaction sets and analyzing health data (preferred); BS or BA in Computer Science or related field.
