Hotlist
The idea, which could start as an application, is simple and would function as follows. User X makes up a group of those friends (without a restriction on their number) whom he or she would consider as a partner (would date). Let’s call this group X’s Hot-list. One person in X’s group is Y. Only X can see who the members of his or her Hot-list are, but (!) the system lets people know if both include each other in their Hot-list. So if Y makes up a Hot-list as well, and includes X, X and Y will know that they like each other.
In addition, each user would know how many people his or her friends have hotlisted and how many times they have been hotlisted.
Revealing mutual attraction would certainly bring goodises for some and everyone could find the best possible partner from the people he or she knows. People might need some time to get used to the system, but after these groups would come into play, there would not be rejections or misunderstandings anymore.
