Beschreibung
This Project can be either in JForms or JSP's or both
1. Document Scanning
a) Supports Twain scanning, and all scanning devices with Twain drivers.
b) Supports scanning a single page, or scanning multiple page documents.
c) Supports adding a new page to an existing document by scanning the new page,
and gives the user the ability to place the new page either before or after the
currently displayed page, or append the page to the end of the document. (The
same can be done with multiple pages.)
d) Supports replacing a page/document by scanning the new page/document.
2. Document Display
a) Currently displays the following types of images:
ani, bmp,cal,cin,clp,cmp,cmw,cut,eps,fax,fit,flc,gif,ica,iff,img,itg,j2k,jbg,jpg,lmb,mac,msp,pcx,png,pnm
ptk,ras,raw,sct,sff,sgi,smp,tga,tif,tiff,wfx,wmf,wmp,wpg,xbm,xpm,xwd.
b) Currently displays the following types of non-image documents:

PDF Files (must have adobe acrobat reader installed on PC)
c) All files not listed above will display as an icon, with the original file name. If the PC
has a program associated with the file type than the user can double click on the
icon and launch the file in its native application. If the file is modified in the native
application it will give the user the ability to save the changes to the file that is
stored in the repository.
3. Document Folders
a) Allows users to separate different types of documents into different folders. Each
folder can have a unique user customized set of index fields.
4. Document Indexing
a) Allows the user to index each document so that it can be searched for and retrieved
quickly.
b) Supports the follow index field types:

Limited to positive real numbers

5. Document / Page Deletions
a) There is a system wide configuration that allows the administrator to determine
whether deleted documents or pages are deleted permanently or not.
b) If the deletion method is set to Permanent Deletions will physically delete the file(s)
and remove the associated database records.
c) If the deletion method is set to Recoverable Deletions will leave the file(s) stored on
the server, and will simply mark the page(s) as deleted.
d) Deleted documents will not be found in search results.
e) Deleted pages will not be present when paging through a documents pages,
exporting a document, or emailing a document.
f) Deleted documents or pages deleted while Recoverable Deletions is enabled will
be recoverable by an end user will sufficient user privileges.
6. Searching
a) Wild Card chars

* - Can be used in place of any character or group of characters.
•
? - Can be used in place of any single character.
b) Text searches are not case sensitive
c) Date searches can be either for a single date, or by a range of dates. To search by
a range of dates the user would right-click on the date field and select “Range”. To
switch back the user would right-click and select “Standard”.
7. User Passwords
a) Each user is created with a secure password that allows only authorized users to
access documents that are stored inside the system.
b) Users can change their personal passwords at any time from within the application
by selecting File → Change Password.

As added security, in order to change the current users password, the current
password must be typed into the first box, and then the new password must be
typed twice into the next two boxes, on the password change form.
8. Log Levels
a) There is a system wide configuration that allows the Administrator to choose the
amount of logging that is recorded for either history or security purposes.
9. Security Levels
a) There are multiple different levels of security that allows for precise privileges to be
provided to either a user or a group of users.
