Sura Systems Private Limited is a start-up specializing in Pattern Recognition Applications with a view to productize. FASP is a face verification application for Access Control, Time Attendance and Security scenarios. The product uses Sura System's proprietary face recognition algorithm. SURA Form Engine is a form extraction application which incorporates Sura System's proprietary image and language processing algorithms for extracting fields from scanned forms, invoices and documents. The form engine has been used for extracting fields from HCFA1500 and UB82 forms. This unique offering is available as both standalone and as an on-demand forms processing web service running on our server. Sura Trader is a Java based trading platform with a spider and parser for extracting and saving data from NSE India's Equities and F&O pages with inbuilt technical analysis tools. The application will also feature advanced Artificial Intelligence based trading tools with complex event processing capabilities. Our skill sets include C++, Java, Ruby on Rails, Flex, Javascript, MySQL and PostgreSQL.
Sura Systems is managed by Gurumurthi V. Ramanan, formerly a faculty of Anna University, Chennai, India with twenty years of research experience. He is a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. In his previous academic avatar, he has trained tens of programmers and engineers on projects in the areas of Pattern recognition, Image processing, Cryptography and Coding theory.

Sura Systems Private Limited, Chennai is a start up specializing in productizing pattern recognition applications. The following is a brief description of some of our products and solutions which will give an indication of our capabilities.
A) FFASP is our face verification based Time attendance application is developed on VC++ and uses postgresql database. The face verification is based on our proprietary algorithm. We have also looked at barcode libraries for possible integration with our Time attendance system. We are currently working on adding a proprietary voice recognition algorithm to FASP.
B) As part of a trading application, we developed a crawler and a parser based on Java, which fetched pages and parsed the required pages at regular intervals (ranging from 1 second to several minutes). One of the pages that was parsed was yahoo finance page. On top of the postgresql database, several technical analysis indicators were graphed using Jfree charts. We have also developed a proprietary HMM based algorithm for intraday prediction.
C) Currently we are switching over one of our products--OCR/forms processing solution to a web service mode. This involves as SAAS (Software As A Service) and was developed on Ruby on Rails and MySQL database. A standalone C++ version as well as a thin client based on Java are also available. These can be integrated with any commercial OCR engines.
D) We are currently developing a Firefox plug in , the development platform being Javascript and XUL for a collaborative framework. This is expected to be released in near future.
E) One of our recent consultancies involved vTiger CRM customization for a local services based company. The preliminary presentation (sans confidential data) is available in our profile. We are also working towards integrating an SMS based service in this framework.
